Mark your calendars for the Annual EarthFair in Balboa Park
The Humanist Fellowship of San Diego will have a booth next to other Freethought, humanist and atheist groups of the San Diego Coalition of Reason. Booths 1094 to 1096 just south of the big fountain in the Plaza de Panama near The Prado Restaurant.Come visit us, or better yet, agree to spend two hours in the booth, letting people know about HFSD, humanism, and why humanist values better address the issues facing us as inhabitants of our vulnerable planet.
Come early, stay late, socialize with your fellow humanists and have loads of fun! There are hundreds of exhibits, musical events, and FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. The crowd is expected to reach up to 70,000.
VOLUNTEER to HELP
Help HFSD by signing up for one two-hour shift to “work” at the booth. Hand out information, and tell others about humanism and the activities of the Humanist Fellowship. Pick a time, 11-2, 1-3, 3-5. Madeline will be coordinating our volunteers, so contact her directly, or give us your information when you RSVP.
Volunteering is lots of fun, and no special talents are needed…
Just be a friendly face greeting the public. If you wish, you can engage in polite discussions with passersby about humanism, and issues important to nonbelievers. Otherwise, we just like to tell everyone about upcoming events, and how to connect with us on Meetup.
